  9. 2 slit green chilli
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala,
  11. as per taste salt
  12. 2 handful spinach
  13. 3-4 tbsp oil
  14. 3 cheese slice
  15. 2 medium potato
  16. As required Chilli flakes + oregano as required

Instructions to make to make Poha Veggie Roastie

  1. Finely chop / dice all veggies.
  2. In moderately heated pan, add oil, add crushed Ginger and sauté for few seconds, then add potato and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add carrot, beans, green chilli and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Then add capsicum + salt and stir fry for 6-7 minutes. Then add garam masala and sauté for 7-8 minutes.
  5. Veggie is ready. Transfer to a plate and keep aside.
  6. In same pan add 1 tbsp oil, add roughly chop spinach and sauté by adding little salt, sauté for 4-5 minutes till water from spinach evaporates.
  7. Spinach is cooked and transfer to a plate and keep aside.
  8. In a mixing bowl add flattened rice, add salt + pepper powder + curd and mix well, flattened rice will soak all liquid from curd, add water so that flattened rice plumps and turn thick. Keep in rest for 5-6 minutes and Mixture for roastie is ready.
  9. Grease a frying pan, take half of the mixture and spread evenly in pan.
  10. Now spread cooked veggies on the mixture and press gently.
  11. Now add cheese all over.
  12. Now add the remaining mixture over the cheese, try to cover cheese and veggies. Also add the cooked spinach on mixture.
  13. Now again add cheese and sprinkle chilli flakes + oregano + few tomato pieces.
  14. Now switch on flame and allow to cook / roast under low flame for 10 - 14 minutes under cover. Roastie is cooked.
  15. Now veggie poha Roastie is ready to serve. Let it cool down, cut into pieces and serve.
